The Next BoomBustBlog Networking Event is Almost Here!

Monday, February 23rd, 2009 by Reggie Middleton

I welcome all registered users to meet me at the Algonquin for the 5th BoomBustBlog financial networking and brainstorming event. I will be there to welcome all BoomBustBloggers as well as answer very “limited” questions on my research perspective, and will have some hard copies of the premium professional research available – including any fresh, new and unpublished material that may be ready at the time of the event. Shortly after this I will hold my conference call for institutional subscribers to discuss my macro view on the market and my research subjects.

Those who have attended any of my events before know that they are fun and educational. See pics from our past events…

For Squash Fans and Blog Fans of All Flavors

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 by Reggie Middleton

BoomBustBlogger Squashnut has graciously donated a box seat and associate sponsorship to the World Squash Tournament of Champions at Grand Central Station in  NYC for yours truly to show his appreciation for the work performed on the blog. I definitely do appreciate it, and thank you. We had a good time with some good food, talking to some interesting people. For those not familiar with the event, the grand finale is tomorrow night, Thursday at about 6 pm. There’s a lot of financial folk mulling around. Take a look-see at who’s sponsoring the event…

I was wondering if anybody read my opinon piece on them… Re: JP Morgan, when I say insolvent, I really mean insolvent.

Check out the ad that Sqashnut ran. Flattering, indeed.

BoomBustBloggin@ BuddhaKahn 2.0

Saturday, December 6th, 2008 by Reggie Middleton

This is a pick taken at the BuddhaKhan last night. I’m that dashingly handsome brother standing up in the black dinner jacket and cheese grin. The food is decent at BuddaKahn, although I don’t think a plate of duck is worth 45 dollars plus tax and a 20% tip. There I go again, valuing the meal…

Feel free to click the pic to get a better view. We had a lot of technical and match guys (and girls) there last night. PhD in mechanical engineering, MS in electrical engineering and almost MS in financial engineering (that’s my wife, the pretty woman with the matching cheese grin and matching black jacket), computer tech entrepenuer and another as a director of tech at the UN. We also had the usual smattering of hedge fund guys, brokerage, and privte equity.

Come join me for an evening of fun, neworking and investment discussion

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008 by Reggie Middleton

It’s time to get together again. Ambition, beauty, drive, wealth,
intellect, knowledge, fun – or maybe just nothing to do Friday night -
come on out and meet me at the Buddakahn Restaurant to discuss macro
economic themes and trading my research. I’ll have a drink or two to
loosen up, and will bring some hard copies of the latest professional
and institutional research for the first lucky few to arrive.

As you can see below, we have had a lot of fun in our previous events
and I expect this one to be no different. You will have to register and subscribe to the blog
if you are not already a member (it can be done for free for the stingy
folk) then register for the event using the link to the registration
form at the bottom of the actual event page (you will have to scroll to the bottom).

The BoomBustBlog Boat Ride

Monday, August 11th, 2008 by Reggie Middleton

I aim to set this blog apart from other financial, macro and investment blogs. One way is to put extremely unique content into the blogosphere. Another way is to bring the virtual to the actual. Thus, I arrange for my readers to meet me in interesting siutations. This is a pictorial of my latest event. To put it succinctly, we had a blast on The Motherland. I think I sponsored NYC’s sexiest, most fun, and productive financial networking event of the summer. Then again, how sexy and fun are financial networking events??? You know what they say, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. Well, when you’re BoomBustBloggin’ with Reggie…

This pic represents a wide variety of vocations, education and interests – all revolving around yachting of, course. A heavy dose of private equity, a media CTO, alternative energy, hedge fund managers, analysts and marketers (and even a lowly blogger) hailing from Yale, Harvard, London Business School, Howard…   Hey, I have many more pics for those who want to see me skinny dipping through the Palisades.
