Unfortunately the consumers perception of what is worthwhile has been distorted beyond comprehension. The consumer does not decide for themselves and meritocracy only exists in exceptional circumstances. The only path to change is to be an equal, in the eyes of the world, on the platform with those you are looking to overthrow. Just found this blog and have enjoyed it, will be checking in regularly. ;-) G

The solution is simple. Consumers should pay for content they feel is worthwhile. That way, the mainstream, bloggers, and whatever new format that may pop can all coexist if they deserve it. Those who don't really care about the quality of the content can always fall back on the pure advertising model.

hey man keep up the great work. but in all fairness to the mainstream media, for them to support the blogs or independent analysis would be suicidal. at the end of the day, most of us need the paychecks to pay the mortgage/rent...etc...so if there ever comes a day when excellent in-depth analysis from independent bloggers is rewarded...watch up above, because by then pigs will be falling from the sky.

Mr. Reggie, I also read the article in bloomberg and thought the same thing...37% right and no. 1 ..jeez how long before investors go broke following those calls...so i took the incentive to write to the author suggesting your blog. ...hopefully next time around we get to see independent analyst comparison.

I would just like to say you put them all to shame! It took me a long time to find a financial analyst that tells the truth. Don't worry about the awards and back slapping, you are appreciated. I read you every day for in depth analysis and trends. Keep it up.

Reggie, I know I sound like a broken record, but these people (the media) are looking at quantifyable gains. If you hook your reseach to some kind of investing circle, and find a way quantify the power of the gains that your vision and insight can generate then they will take notice. The problem is that we who follow you know the quality of your work, but the main street media is corporate, and they look to the things that quantify success in their language, corporate gain. I say this hoping not to offend anyone else here, but my greatest teacher always told me there are just two kinds of people in this world, those who work for themselves, and those who work for other people. Everyone who works in the MSM is an employee, and you my friend are not. That means you have achieved the greatest success in life. Add to that the exceptional quality of your work, which is self evident, and evidence of an exceptional mind, so trust me when I say you don't need to be looking for back slaps from other peoples employees. Have a great weekend, and keep up the great work!
