In my daily perusal of the usual suspect blogs, I have come across some disturbing happenings. To begin with, Richard Bove,  The oft-quoted Ladenburg Thalmann analyst is being sued by BankAtlantic, which disagrees with his methodology in last week’s “Who is Next to Fail” report. [New York Post]. They are trying to hit him with libel. I can just imagine what companies have in mind for me and my blogCool. On a serious note, I think they (the bank) may be pushing their luck and the legal system. I supply a significant amount of documentation to support my opinions, and I don't think it is in a short candidate's best interest to get into a legal pissing match where the discovery process can pull out all sorts of skeletons out of the closet.

Then I came across this in Mish's site:

Uninsured Depositors At WaMu Are Begging For Trouble:

Anyone with uninsured deposits (those exceeding FDIC limits) at Washington Mutual are begging for trouble. If you work for a corporation that has its payroll or large corporate account (above the FDIC limit) at WaMu and you want to get paid, you better get this message to corporate headquarters right away: WaMu Slumps as Gimme Credit Cites Liquidity Concern.

Hey, the man has a valid point. Let's hope WaMu Doesn't sic the lawyers on him - I like his column. Hey, if they don't like bove, I guess they love me with my Doo Doo 32 list. Speaking of which, I'd like to voice my concern with anyone trying to quell a truly analytical voice attempting to honestly warn the populace. If you disagree with him so be it. If you try to squash him/her, be forewarned that that is a danergous path to meander.
